Additional Notes:
• Mounding dense growth habit.
• Several cultivars, most have pink flowers except for
‘Clara’ which has white flowers.
• Planted in coastal, inland, valley and desert areas.
• Tough and durable, grow in difficult places and can
survive winter temperatures as low as 20 o F.
• Can take pruning and clipping but makes a nice informal
hedge without it.
• Regular water when young but will withstand drought
once established.
• Used as hedges, border plants and background plants, in
raised beds, slopes and mass plantings.
