Fast growing.
Moderate moisture, takes wind, salt air.
Tolerates many soils, including calcareous, can be planted
in coastal, inland, valley low deserts with regular water.
Does well in large planters and on slopes, where it
reaches 6 to 8 feet.
Vine-like stems can grow to 20 feet. Longer stems will lay
down in planter beds and form roots which allows plant
to spread.
Can be used as an espalier.
